Problem : XP service pack 2 - seaPro/seaPro lite unexpectedly exits

Symptom
On selecting a menu option that opens up a windows browse window to select a file or creating a folio seaPro exits (you or may not get an error message).

For example Route menu ->Select

This is caused by an in compatibility between your computers graphic card drivers and Windows XP service pack 2 (SP2) and is not a problem with seaPro

Note: If you have XP auto updates enables - SP2 might be installed in the background. To check if you have SP2 installed. Right click on My computer, select properties.

Solution:

a) Reduce the acceleration of your graphics card - Microsoft supplies a standard tool to do this - How to
You should also try and obtain an up to date graphics driver for your computer (see b below)

b) Obtain an up to date graphics driver for your computer, this can usually be obtained from your computer supplier or the graphics car manufactures web site. Note if you are using an older PC or laptop a suitable driver may not be available as the pc or card is out of support from the supplier if so option (a) will work.
