#Summary : How to reduce the acceleration of your computer graphics card

Use this if you are experiencing problems after installing XP service pack 2 or strange effects are occurring when drawing charts, opening menus or unexplained errors/exits (with or without error messages).

1. With no programs running (including seaPro)

2. From the control panel (Windows start button)
Select Display
or
With the mouse Right click on your computer desktop and select Properties.

The Windows display dialog will appear.

3. Select Settings and then the Advanced button

4. Select the Troubleshoot tab (this may have a different title depending on your graphics card)

5. You will see a Slider bar, move the slider fully to the left (no acceleration).
Press Apply then close the other dialog boxes

Start seaPro and check if the problem has now disappeared.

You can repeat the above moving the slider 1 notch further to the right each time (more acceleration) until the problem re-appears, then back off 1 notch.

Note:
1. If the above solves the problem, then you do need to update your graphics card driver, available from your computer supplier or graphics card supplier.

2. Even newly supplied computers often have out of date graphics drivers, you may find new drivers appears over time

3. For older computers out of technical support, new drivers might not be available to cope with XP service pack 2, so you will need to just use the above.
