 #Problem

Hint on how to easily transfer ARCS chart to a new computer

The same principles applies to other chart formats such as Livecharts.

#Solution

There are two ways of transferring charts to a new computer (or hard disk)

Note: You cannot use the charts on more than one computer unless you have the appropriate
          network license.

1. Simply copy the complete Charts folder to your new hard disk.
This can be across a local area network, serial/USB laplink etc or simply
restore from a backup of your hard disk.

Note: You are very strongly advised to backup your hard disks at regular intervals.

This is the quickest and simplest method

2. Restore from your original ARCS CDROMS

Procedure

i.    Install your chart permits (latest ones only required)
ii.   Install your chart CDROMS in strict chronological order i.e. the earliest ones first.
Ensure you install the update disks in the correct order. Make sure you do not install
any charts that are later then your license permit  allows - what you have purchased.
iii.  Rebuild your folio

If you have lost your original ARCS CDROM's you will not be able to re-install your charts, either
use method (1) or contact Euronav to purchase an update
