#Solution
The
dongle is not the correct type.
- Check
that you have the latest dongle upgrade. This will normally occur if you
install a new version of seaPro.
- Check
that you are not trying to run seaPro2000 with a seaPro lite dongle.
- Contact
your supplier for further information.
The Parallel port is not set up
correctly.
- Run
the “Tosh printer_port” program to alter the parallel port speed. This
is found in the support folder,
which can be found in the seaPro2000 folder.
I.E C:\program files\Euronav\seapro2000\support.
- Check
the BIOS to ensure that the parallel port has been set to Bi-directional.
- If
you are an NT user make sure that you are logged on as an administrator when
you install seaPro.
Note: If you are having serious problems
you can upgrade your parallel dongle for
either a USB (Not NT4) or PCMCIA (may not work with older PC’s). Please see
your dealer for costs; your current dongle will have to be returned before a new
one is issued.
Another device is trying to use the
parallel port.
- Check
that no other program is using the parallel port.
If you feel that it is try to disable that program.
- Locate
the latest drivers for that device from the web.
This may correct the problem.
- If
the above does not work, uninstall the software in question.
