Chart is covered in red lines.
Chart now takes much longer to draw 

#Problem

The log has not been changed for a while.
You may have a lot of  overlay data (Fishing version) switched on

#Solution

 The log has not been changed for a while.

Select “Log” from the main menu.
Select “New” or reset if you want to use the same log (your previous data will be lost).
Create a name for the new log  (or select the default) and click OK.

Overlays/Databases

Switch off ones you do not need

Fishing versions - Check that you are not saving in Text format as these take longer to load
