Chris Pontet re-joins Euronav as International marketing
manager.
Its a big welcome back to Chris after his year's sabbatical. Chris
comes from a strong sailing background in both leisure (if min-transat
can be called leisure !) and commercial shipping.
On a personnel note - its congratulations to Chris and Christina
who tied the knot on Feb 14th (St .Valentines day for those non-romantics).

seaPro
interface to tacktick micronet instruments
Euronav have released a new version of their Performance
Sailing software that enables performance data to be displayed on
Tackticks’ new micronet system.
Previously, performance data has only been available to top racing
yachts with a budget to match, but racer-cruisers and cruiser-racers
who want to optimise the performance of their yachts need a more cost
effective solution.

seaPro for Power Boat users
Euronav have released an updated version of their popular
navigation product seaPro standard to cater for the specific needs
of the power boater.
Useful new features include fuel calculations that enable power boat
owners to estimate the range they can cover while planning a route
based on the fuel consumption and capacity of their craft.

New Low-cost Automatic Identification System (AIS) receiver
AI3000 is a low cost, high performance AIS receive only

enables the reception of AIS information from suitably equipped
vessels
at a fraction of the cost of a conventional AIS transponder.

S57 charts - price reduction
Up to nearly 50% reduction in prices for S57 charts covering UK,
Germany, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands,Belgium waters. Each chart
is now just £15.50 (ex VAT) and covers an area equal to that
of a similar paper chart.
S57 charts are produced by national hydrographic offices, and represent
the most up to date charts available and are the charts of choice
for the professional mariner. Chart updates are done on a weekly
basis.
S57 charts can be used on seaPro plus and pro and as an option on
seaPro standard. S57
Coverage for other areas are also available including Norway, Denmark,
France, Finland, Sweden, Estonia
