seaPro for Power Boat users - 3rd Nov 2003

Euronav are releasing an updated version of their popular navigation product seaPro standard to cater for the specific needs of the power boater.

Useful new features include fuel calculations that enable power boat owners to estimate the range they can cover while planning a route based on the fuel consumption and capacity of their craft.

Not only will this provide reassurance of the distance a vessel can cover to easily make a port with fuelling facilities, it also helps optimise the fuel usage by providing details of consumption for the various boat speeds and RPM.

Another feature is an interface to Manual/ Automatic Radar Plotting Aid (ARPA/ MARPA) radar so that when connected to suitable ARPA/ MARPA radars with NMEA output, targets will appear over the chart with vectors showing their projected track. This significantly improves situation awareness and collision avoidance.
