seaPro
supports official ENC vector (s57 data)
The seaPro range of software now supports the official International Hydrographic office digital vector format called ENC (Electronic Nautical Chart). This format is primarily designed for commercial use where used with a suitably approved charting system, known as an ECDIS system, can be used to replace paper charts on commercial vessels (SOLAS). ENC's can only be published by official sources, such as National Hydrographic Offices and are distributed through officially appointed organization such as the UK Hydrographic Office and Primar. Euronav has an agreement to distribute ENC charts from these organisations. Vessels wanting to use official vector format charts can now use them within seaPro. In addition seaPro enables other chart formats to be used simultaneously including official ARCS (Admiralty Raster Chart Service), other official raster formats including Seafarer and NZ Mariner and BSB charts as well as the Livechart vector format.
